Meet the PAWs

Peer Advisers for Writing (PAWs)

Paul (2)

Paul is a third-year student majoring in Digital Business and Innovation. He comes from the city by the sea Vladivostok, Russia. He came to PAW with a goal of helping as many students as he can with various academic papers and filling them with confidence for their future tasks. As he already has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, he is looking forward to sharing the experience of planning and writing various academic papers. He has a passion for analytics, that is why he loves to observe and give constructive feedback. When there is some free time, Paul loves to play and watch basketball, as well as listen to different music.

Dee - Bio Photo

Dee is a third-year student in the International Relations program. She is Sri Lankan but was born and spent her childhood in Rome, Italy. Having joined PAW in the Fall of 2021, Dee expects to help her fellow students with any difficulties they may face in the process of writing, both within and without the Academic Literacy courses. She loves the earliest stages of writing, spending hours buried deep in random books and obscure websites in search of correlations and causations for her papers. In her spare time, Dee loves to doodle and learn new languages (with English, Sinhala, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese already under her belt).

Endreyah PAW BioEndreyah is a second-year student majoring in International Relations at TIU. She is from the United States and, as a military child, has lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, and Japan, which has helped her quickly adapt to her environment. Endreyah joined PAW in Spring of 2023 to help her peers improve their writing skills. Her favorite part of the writing process is the outline because a good outline makes it easier to accomplish academic writing. Outside of university, she likes to cook and bake.

Muhtashim_Bari

Muhtashim is a third-year DBI student from Bangladesh who joined PAW in the spring of 2023. Prior to joining the PAW, Muhtashim was involved in developing language skills back in his hometown, during which he gained an interest in helping others with academic writing. His favourite part of writing is using the TEXAS format for the main paragraphs as it helps organise the ideas and supporting evidence in a structured manner. Muhtashim is determined to develop his programming skills, which also happens to be one of his favourite hobbies.
